Sometimes the process which have executed but are not required by the OS are stored on the RAM. So, we can remove or freeup the RAM with unused junk data to Speedup the System or processing speed. Changing Drive Icon

In this trick i will show you how to change the drive icons that appear in Mycomputer.

For this you need an icon image i.e.; with extension "ICO" example "drivea.ico"

Copy the icon file to the root of the drive.
example: c:\drivea.ico

Then create a file called: autorun.inf in the root directory c:\autorun.inf.
Simply Right click->New->Text Document. Rename it to autorun.inf (.inf is Extension)

Next open that file and type the following:

[autorun]
icon=drivea.ico

Save and close the file.

Now open my computer and refresh.. and woh! icon changed....
you can apply to other drives too.

Note:
"autorun.inf" and "ico.ico" must be in the root of the drive.
example: c:\autorun.inf and c:\drivea.ico.

Display Legal Notice on Startup of your Windows

If your PC has multiple users then you can now display legal notice to every user before they login to your PC. This legal notice will be displayed at every startup just before the Desktop is loaded. Using this you can tell your friends about the do’s and dont’s in your computer when they login in your absence. Well you can do this pretty easily. For this there is one small registry hack. Here is the step-by-step instruction to do this.


1. Go to Start->Run, type regedit and hit ENTER

2. Navigate to the following key in the registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\policies\system


On the right side pane look for “legalnoticecaption“, double click on it and enter the desired Legal Notice Caption.

3. Next below this look for “legalnoticetext” and enter the desired Legal Notice Text. The legal notice text can be up to a page in it’s size so that it can include a set of do’s and dont’s for your computer.

4. After you do this just restart your computer and upon the next startup you can see the legal notice information for your computer. This trick works on both XP and Vista. You can also try it on Windows 7 and should work with no problems.

এখানে প্রশ্ন হতে পারে যে- আটো রিফ্রেশ হলে বোঝা যাবে কিভাবে ?
উত্তর হল- কম্পিউটার নিজেই করে নিবে । Slow না হলে বুঝবেন যে আপনার কম্পিউটার একা একাই Refresh করে নিচ্ছে । ধন্যবাদ ।

আজ আমি আপনাদের এমন একটি ফাইল উপহার দিব যেটি মাত্র একবার ডাবল ক্লিক করলেই খুলে যাবে আপনার CD/DVD drive. মন মেজাজ ভালো নেই তাই চলুন আর বেশি কথা না বলেই কাজ শুরু করে দেই।
প্রথমেই নিচের লিখা একটি পরিস্কার NOTEPAD এ কপি পেষ্ট করুন।

NTFS Converter

আমাদের কম্পিউটার এ অনেকের FAT/FAT32 তে ড্রাইভ সেটআপ দেয়া থাকে । এমন কি পেনড্রাইভ ও FAT32 সিস্টেম দেওয়া থাকে । তাই আমাদের অনেক সময় ড্রাইভ গুলো NTFS এ রূপান্তরিত করার প্রয়োজন হয়। সেক্ষেত্রে আমরা পুরো কম্পিউটার কে সেটআপ দেই । কিন্তু আর এত কষ্টো করা লাগবে না । মাত্র ৩৮৭ বাইট এর ১ টি ফাইল দিয়ে আপনি আপনার কম্পিউটার এর সকল ড্রাইভ কে NTFS এ রূপান্তরিত করতে পারবেন।

প্রথমে notepad এ নিচের লিখা গুলো copy paste করুন।

Step 6:
 If you are uncertain about whether or not to disable a particular program, do the following:

b. Connect to the Internet.
c. In your Web browser, type http://www.processlibrary.com to
visit the Process Library.
d. Near the top of this website’s main page is a Search for a Process
search box.Type the name of your program into this box, and
then click the Search Now button.
You are taken to a Web page that explains what your program is
used for and whether or not it is essential to your computer’s
performance.


Step 7:
7. When you have finished tweaking the System Configuration Utility,
click the Apply button.

Step 8:
8.Click the OK button.

Step 9:
9. A message alerts you that you must restart your computer for the
changes to take effect. Click the Restart button.Your computer auto-
matically shuts down and reboots.

Step 10:
 When you return to Windows, a message alerts you that you have just
used the System Configuration Utility to change the way Windows
starts. Put a checkmark in the box labeled “Don’t show this message
or launch the system configuration utility when Windows starts.”


Step 11:
Click the OK button.
By following these steps you wil realize that your windows no starts faster.

PC Hack

If you have physical access to your friends machine then you can access his machine remotely using telnet server. All you have to do is to create a user account there then hide that user from logon screen and then start telnet server and finally mark telnet as a exception in firewall.

 
These steps can be carried out simply and faster using a simple batch file (instal.bat). Open notepad & copy+peats this source of batch file. Then save file this name- "instal.bat"

Now let’s say that your password has been hacked. If you were using that same password across all websites, the hacker can hack other account’s password as well. If they cracked your internet banking or credit card account password, you can guess the outcomes. In order to avoid such unpleasant incidents, you need to keep your password really strong and unpredictable.

From the above screenshot it’s clear that passwords with only lowercase characters can easily be cracked, where passwords containing both lowercase and uppercase characters can make it really difficult for the hacker. Here are some password tips :

* Don’t make your password predictable. You can do so by substituting numbers with letters and vice verse. (e.g – letter “O” can be written as number zero “0″, or letter “a” can be replaced with symbol “@”).
* Use uppercase and lowercase numbers randomly throughout the password (e.g – @mER1cAbLue5).
* Never use a English dictionary word as your password as a brute force attack can pull out the password easily.
* You may keep a place you loved, your favourite restaurant, favourite actor’s last film name as password.
* Keep different username and password combinations for different websites. A hacker can hack into all your site’s passwords if he finds one. So, never keep the same password and username combination elsewhere.
* Use RoboForm password manager to manage all your passwords
* Using Microsoft’s password checker. you can check how secure your password is.
